Apologies if you’re waiting for a response and haven’t received one. While I try to reply to every message from every viewer, sometimes a few will fall through the cracks.

If you reached out on Instagram, YouTube or other social media platforms, then there is a chance your message was caught in an automated filter. If you believe this was a mistake, then please use the form on the contact page or send an email to info@alexgrowsfood.com.

While I try to be as accurate as possible, let’s face it – mistakes happen. Some say the lens adds ten pounds but I think the pressure makes you lose 50 IQ points. If you notice an error, please send me a direct message on the relevant social platform and I’ll try and correct it.

If you find an error or have concern about content in a video or on this website, then please send email info@alexgrowsfood.com.

Yes, of course! Send an email to info@alexgrowsfood.com and we can discuss any opportunities.

I’ve previously written feature and tutorial articles in national magazines, I was the press officer for a couple of local organisations and went all-in on the student newspaper and was Editor for a short while (back when I had a full head of hair). Creating content seems to be what I do, let me know if I can help your organisation.

The short answer is ‘no’.

All words on this website, in YouTube videos and on other social media platforms are written by humans. And right now the number of humans is 1 – it’s all me!

AI technology isn’t quite at the standard where the quality of the output is high enough — they don’t even know how to start a sentence with a noun. It would be unfair on readers and the audience to use AI in the content creation process. This may limit how much content that can be produced each week but quality is more important.

However, some AI tools are built into services such as YouTube or even the website hosting provider. While the ‘Generate with AI’ button might occasionally get used out of curiosity to see what the suggestions are, they have so far been disregarded. But that doesn’t mean that the content hasn’t been influenced by that suggestion or that the suggestion hasn’t planted a seed that has grown into life later in the process. It’s hard to keep track of small influences like that.

The one area I do use AI is as a coach & rubber duck when it comes to writing software. We’ll exchange ideas and I’ll even use code snippets from time to time. Of course, the code still gets validated and the bulk of the work still can’t be done by AI anyway but it can be a great help when trying new things.

So, no – there is no AI-generated video, sound, text or image content in my work but it might have had some influence on the thought process on occasion and it may contribute to some of the infrastructure you see around here.

If something looks like it was AI generated, it was probably just a technical issue and I had to dub my own voice or something. Yes, this really happened…

Nope. In part for the same reason that I don’t use AI to create content — I need to apply quality control which means it often isn’t much quicker than doing it myself. Quite a few of my videos are more of an expressive art than the usual commodity content and that simply can’t be outsourced, no matter how much time it might save.

It also costs money to hire people, so….

If a product or service is well aligned with and could be beneficial for the audience and it doesn’t conflict with our values, then I have no issue testing and demonstrating the product’s value via paid sponsorship opportunities.

However if it doesn’t align or if it isn’t a good fit for the viewers, then I won’t accept those kinds of offers. Some items have been declined for not meeting that criteria.

If you’re a brand looking to partner, then please contact info@alexgrowsfood.com to discuss your needs further.

I do use affiliate links on this website and in YouTube video descriptions. I believe they are much less ‘in your face’ than dedicated ad reads and are preferred by the viewer. It’s a more viewer-centric model of funding the content that gets published, provided recommendations are relevant, reviews are transparent and honest, and all appropriate declarations are used.

However, I am pretty picky about which products I provide links for. You may have noticed that I almost exclusively use links for products I own & have tested, and that being part of an affiliate scheme will not alter my review of a particular product. I also try to avoid using hyperbolic language. Whether a product is good or bad, that fact will be made clear in the video or blog post.

If you spot a broken product link please let me know. For more information on affiliate links and how they are used on this website, please read the affiliate information page.

Of course! If we can produce great work that will be of benefit to both our viewers, followers & subscribers and we share the same values then please get in touch on the relevant platform or via details on the contact page.
